Very good fish and chips from Ready Tasty. Good sized portions for a reasonable price - cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £12.80. The fish was freshly cooked to order and had a nice thin, crisp batter. The chips were excellent and had a satisfy crispness to them. Food was well packed in paper and a paper bag. I would recommend and would eat from here again.

Great local chippy. Always friendly and happy. Orders are dealt with quickly and the chips are always hot. Pies, burgers and sausages available along with fish of course.

I have been using this Chippy for almost 30 years and I think it's the 2nd generation of family owning the shop. Just a fish and chip menu no deep cooked mars bars or tempera squid but very good Cod n Chips and all his mates battered sausage and chips pie and chips. Fizzy drink Tommy sauce, and wooden forks. They are however cash only but there is a cash machine next door but you will be charged to use it or understand there is one in the co-op further down. My favourite is a spam fritter and chips.

The food at Ready Tasty is exactly as it sounds, extremely tasty. Many of the one or two star reviews before are based on the opening hours, not the quality of the food which is actually very good. The fish is flaky and fresh with a thick golden batter, and the chips are hot and delicious. The portions are HUGE! So delighted to find a great fish and chip shop in Caversham, I will be returning often!

I had cod and chips £8.10, freshly cooked cod, got home, it was huge! Couldn't eat everything, so others had chips too!
